John McCarthy, one of the founders of Artificial Intelligence and Declarative Programming, indisputed source of inspiration of the Knowledge Representation area, Turing Award in 1971, passed away early this morning. Our community owes a lot to this great researcher; we believe the best way for us to honor his memory is to pursue successfully our research in AI/ KR.
